I'm drawn to good stories, scarcely told. I am a cross-genre filmmaker who makes everything from horror, to action, drama, and documentary. I write and direct interactive virtual reality experiences and cinematic 360 videos, and work as the Program Coordinator for Film Fatales.
I live in Los Angeles, came from Minnesota, graduated from Columbia University School of the Arts in NYC with an MFA in film directing. I have been a poetry teacher, a traveling spoken word artist, a sex-educator, a dildo slinger at a sex-positive adult toy store, a medical actor, a line cook, a department head at a purchasing cooperative, the chair of Columbia Women in Film, and waitstaff many times over.
My short film I Want You Inside Me has been called a post-modern body horror and a modern day Grimm's fairy tale. It has screened at over 25 festivals, including Sitges, FantasticFest, Nitehawk Shorts, New Hampshire Film Festival, and Los Angelos Fear + Fantasy.
My most recent project Four Walls was honored with a WEBBY. Four Walls is a virtual reality documentary with Rashida Jones and the International Rescue Committee that, invites viewers to experience the lives of Syrian refugees living in Lebanon.
My other shorts A Gentleman Never Sweats, Backpages, The Freezer and Crazy Bitch, have screened at festivals around the world.
